Andrew Draper
Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSAfter graduating from Glasgow Vet School, Andrew spent a few years working with farmers in Yorkshire, before following his wife, Kate, down to Nottinghamshire and focusing on small animal work. He has a particular interest in dentistry, cardiology and orthopaedics, and enjoys spending his free time with his family, skiing, cycling and walking.

Kate Cullen
Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSKate graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1988, and worked at several practices before joining Oak House alongside her husband, Andrew. When she’s not working she loves walking and mountain biking around Nottinghamshire. She has recently taken on the challenge of bringing up her new German Shorthaired Pointer pup, Murdo!

Alice Witton
Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S MRCVSAlice graduated from the University of St Andrews with a degree in zoology, before studying veterinary medicine at the University of Edinburgh. She is currently undertaking a certificate in small animal internal medicine, and has a rescue cat called Albus, whose name was inspired by her love of Harry Potter. In her own time, she loves playing with her son.

Holly Cruickshank

MRCVSOriginally from Cardiff, Holly graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 and loved it so much that she decided to stay in the area. Outside of work, she enjoys running, gardening, hiking and baking. While she doesn’t have any pets of her own at the moment, she does have plenty of houseplants.

BVSc MRCVSChloe joined the Oak House Team after graduating and working in Liverpool. Out of work she loves spending time with her rabbits and playing Quadball and hanging off a climbing wall.

Jade Harding
Veterinary Surgeon
BA VetMB MRCVSJade graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2019, after which she completed an internship at an equine hospital in Devon and worked as an ambulatory equine vet in Derbyshire. She now enjoys working indoors at our small animal practice, and loves spending her free time with her son, Rupert, and walking her dog, Alfie.

Laura Davidson
Locum Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed MRCVSLaura moved to the UK from Pennsylvania in 1999, and moved to Nottingham and joined our team a few years later after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College. She enjoys treating all manner of small animals and the varied cases we encounter, and has two cats of her own. Outside of work, she loves being a mother to her daughter, knitting, walking, travelling and camping during the summer.

Head Veterinary Nurse
RVNLiz knew she wanted to work with animals from a young age, and loves the variety of her role. She has a particular interest in pain relief, nutrition, inpatient care, senior pets and surgery, and has two cats and two dogs of her own. She is married with two children, and enjoys spending her spare time walking, cycling, gardening, going to the gym and attempting to learn Italian.

RVNRachel graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2016, and as our practice’s cat advocate, she loves learning about all things feline. She has two lovely cats of her own at home, Mickey and Duchess, and enjoys watching her favourite TV shows, crocheting and gardening.

Veterinary Nurse
RVNMarie completed her nursing training with our practice, and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2009. She enjoys surgical nursing and nurse clinics, and loves spending her free time with her sons, walking her dogs, Bonnie and Benson, and growing vegetables in her allotment.

RVNKatie has been working in veterinary practices since she was 17, and enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, especially nurse consults, senior pet care and looking after inpatients.

Aliyah Duggins
Veterinary Nurse
RVNAliyah studied at Nottingham Trent University and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2017. She enjoys the medical side of nursing and taking care of hospitalised patients, as well as emergency and critical care, which she is completing a certificate in. She has a cat, guinea pigs and a dog of her own, and loves gardening and reading murder mystery books.

RVNSelina has been working in veterinary practices since 2007, and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2012. She joined the Oakhouse team in 2021, and loves gardening, upcycling furniture and spending time with her daughter and dogs. She also has a keen interest in exotics, as she has three tortoises and a few interesting insects of her own.

RVNKaylum finished his training off with us and after graduating from Notts Trent University he has joined our team full time. Out of work he enjoys travelling and spending time with his Golden Retriever, Paddy.

Hannah Wright
Student Veterinary Nurse
Hannah is currently in her third year studying veterinary nursing at Nottingham Trent University. She joined the Oak House team in Spring 2024 as part of her year long placement.
She has an interest in all exotics and particularly small furries. Hannah has an elderly guinea pig at home called Louis.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking in the Peak District, travelling and visiting haunted houses.

Alucia has joined us from school and alongside her day to day work she is studying to obtain her RVN qualification at Bottle Green Training in Melbourne, Derbyshire. Out of work she loves horses and competes in show jumping competitions.

Receptionist
Julie has been working in veterinary practices since 1988, and joined our reception team in 2005. She has always loved dogs, and her own dog, Max, has a lovely temperament and a big appetite! When she’s not working at our Plains Road and Carlton branches, she loves reading, watching good films and spending time with friends and family.

Insurance Coordinator and Receptionist
Sarah has been with our practice since 2013, and is married to an ADPT certified dog trainer. She has a keen interest in canine welfare, and has four dogs of her own.

Mia has four cats, Ralph, Lola, Muffin and Pudding, at home. In her free time, she loves nothing more than taking trips to the cinema, visiting the zoo or heading to a pizza restaurant.

Debbie has been in the cleaning industry for over 20 years. She loved to travel to France with her partner who sadly passed away a few years ago.She has 2 Shi-Tzus Lola & Poppy. Debbie enjoys going for walks and also do a bit of running.
